This Class uses high intensity-interval training /Tabta including a combination of cardio, strength, flexibility, core strength, and endurance. High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) and Tabata is the quickest way to torch fat, even after you're done exercising. In this class you alternate short intervals of very high intensity exercises, followed by slower low-moderate intervals to recover. Not only will you build your performance but HIIT training has been used to improve muscle ability used to burn fat. The affect of the intense exertion placed on your body puts your body's repair cycle into hyperdrive, causing your body to burn excess calories up to 24 hours post workout. It's time to challenge your mind and your body!
Full Body Blast
Cardio sculpt is a great place to begin your fitness foundation and has a fierce following. You'll use body bars, light weights and steps. Multiple reps with light resistance will elevate the heart rate and sculpt the your body.
Strengthen your core, buff your bum and tone your guns in this challenging one-hour class based on the body conditioning program created by Joseph Pilates. We'll focus on strengthening the foundation -- back, abdomen and hips -- while improving flexibility, coordination and posture. The class uses small hand weights, body bars, resistance bands, gliding discs and other props to help sculpt long, lean muscles. Cardio? Sometimes! Each class is different so we'll never be bored!
High interval and total body conditional class with no equipment needed. The class consist of high intensity cardio moves, plymoterics, strength and balance, agility drills and core strengthening exercises with a variety of modifications.

Ditch the workout and join the party! This popular class blends upbeat world rhythms with easy to follow choreography to deliver an effective total body workout.
Boot camp class, which consist of circuits (resistance, cardio, abs), tabatha's, cardio kickboxing or just anything else that will make you work up a sweat.
Kick the dust off your fitness routine with this intense one-hour class. PILOXING™ uniquely blends the power, speed and agility of boxing with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. It is a fat torching, muscle sculpting, core-centric interval workout, guaranteed to whip you into shape. PILOXING™ is the brainchild of Swedish dancer and celebrity trainer Viveca Jensen.
Hard Core Cardio
This class designed for ANYONE o wants a challenge, or to challenge each other. Although the class will be no-nonsense and easy-to-follow, it will include high intensity strength and cardio exercises designed to challenge participants' strength and endurance while burning many calories. The class moves very quickly, from one exercise to the next with little or no rest. Modification will be demonstrated. Equipment: Hand Weights, Mat, Step

Amanda White is a veteran group fitness instructor at Burbank Athletic Club She teaches Hard Coe Cario, Extreme Fit Camp and Spinning. After Struggling most of her life with weigh issues, Amanda finally conquered this battle in 2006. 200lbs lighter, she will whop you in to shape. She can relate with many people as she has been on her own weight loss journey which was one of the hardest battles she has fought. She was featured on Peoples Magazine Half my size issue in 2009! Amanda, a longtime BAC member, trained at Michelle Mazur Yoga where she received her 200-hour certification. She specializes in Hatha yoga with special interest in yoga philosophy, meditation techniques, sutras, chakras and ayurveda. Amanda’s class uses heat-building sequences, suitable for all skill levels, that will re-energize your body and get rid of toxins. Deep breathing will help you relax, calm your mind and release any blocked energy in your body.
Amanda is a warrior. It’s hard not to agree–especially when you hear the story of her own battle for health and fitness (featured in People Magazine 2008). After struggling with weight issues for most of her life, Amanda made a serious commitment to lifestyle changes– including a healthful food plan and regular exercise. Four years later, she’s not only 200lbs lighter but she’s maintained her goal weight for over 3 years and is helping others lead healthier, more active lives. As a certified SPINNING instructor, Amanda happily channels her passion and dedication into high- energy group cycling classes. She’ll push you through endurance drills, hills, sprints, and more. Even the most reluctant exerciser will find it hard to resist her insistence that nothing is impossible as long as your heart and mind agree on the goal.
Arjuna is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor from the venerable Yoga Blend studio in Burbank, where he also teaches. His classes are energetic and challenging, yet open to all skill levels.
Health, well-being and fitness have always been top priorities in Audrey’s life. Her classes are energetic, fun and extremely motivating, yet open to all skill levels. She loves creating new music for each ride, using music from all different genres–there will always be something for everyone! With a little confidence, dedication, and inspiration she believes you can become the best you can be. In addition to receiving her SPINNING® Instructor Certification at Mad Dogg Athletics, Audrey also completed her 200 hr. teacher training in Viniyoga and Yoga Therapy with Michelle Mazur RYS. Spinning and yoga have easily become two of her greatest passions. Her goal for each ride is to challenge riders to perform to the best of their ability and beyond!
Bow trained at Black Dog Yoga, earning her 200-hour certification and kicking off a deep and enduring practice. A lifelong student, Bow returned to school to become a physical therapist after working as a PT aide. She dedicates herself to helping people heal in body and mind. "I want for my students to let their practice be their partner, nurture it, work on it, and laugh. I want them to sit with it…and breathe. Allow the experience of breath meeting body and mind be the foundation on and off the mat. There lies the yoga."
For Christine, yoga is about finding light and joy in your body, exploring your soul, and accepting who you are in that exact minute. This veteran yogi and longtime BAC member teaches all levels with equal dedication.
Claudia Moreno has been teaching fitness class for 13+ years. She has taught different formats from step, aerobics, kickboxing, Piloxing, Spinning to her most recent adventures boot camp and Insanity. She is certified in Primary Group Exercise & Resistance Training through AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America), TRX Suspension, PIYO, Turbo Kick, Spinning, R.I.P.P.E.D, Insanity and is currently working on her personal training certificate. You can find her each Thursday morning at 6am for an early bird boot camp class, which consist of circuits (resistance, cardio, abs), tabatha’s, cardio kickboxing or just anything else that will make you work up a sweat. And on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for Insanity, which is a high interval and total body workout.
Codi is a BAC member who’s been practicing in our Om Room for years. Now she’s a certified instructor herself, also hitting the mat at the popular Yoga Blend.
Danice, a go-to sub at BAC, specializes in hot yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga.
Jacque has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years and she completed her 200-hour teacher training at the well-regarded Yoga Blend. She describes yoga as "an incredible influence" in her life and believes that it can provide "physical, emotional and mental healing when we’re open to acceptance without judgement."
Jessica is a veteran yogi, having trained and worked in Philadelphia and New York before relocating to the L.A. area. She’s spent more than a decade practicing Vinyasa and other yoga styles.
Longtime BAC member and veteran yogi Joyce Matlock has been practicing for more than 20 years. Our former staff member subs as often as she can these days.
Karlos Ramirez has been a devoted indoor cyclist at BAC for the past seven years. He has been an instructor since February of 2008 and has managed to create quite a name for himself. Fast-paced, high-energy, and non-stop are a few words that can be used to describe his classes. He always brings a challenging class that will work up a good sweat. Karlos’ classes are filled with a variety of music that are sure have you asking for more!
Lacey began her formal education at Loyola Marymount University where she studied yoga traditions under Dr. Christopher Chapple. She received her yoga certification at the same institution, where she studied Vinyasa Krama in the lineage of Krishnamacharya under his longest-standing student, Srivatsa Ramaswami. Lacey believes in yoga as a method of psychological healing, a strategy for structural maintenance, and a necessity for the health of the endocrine system. She takes particular interest in the roll of yoga in digestive health.
An experienced yogi — and a filmmaker, too! — Leo brings a sense of joy to every class he teaches. Find him on the schedule several times a week, including an energetic, sweaty Power Yoga that’s become a member favorite on Saturdays.
Rich Tola, a 200-hour certified yogi, specializes in Vinyasa Flow and Iyengar Yoga. His style is challenging and precise, focused on proper body alignment and posture.
A dedicated member of our early AM team, Shawn has been teaching indoor cycling for more than 6 years. His class format consists of a short intense warm-up followed by a series of long successive climbs synchronized to a play list of mostly Alternative music. A Civil Engineer by trade with a Master’s degree, Shawn enjoys cycling as a great way stay in shape and to connect with people and music. In addition to completing the SPINNING® Instructor Orientation, Shawn is also an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. Since taking a full-time job at NBC Universal four years ago Shawn no longer has time to train clients privately. For now, you’ll just have to catch him in class- this Friday and every other-at 6:00am.
Shoshana Stolove has been practicing Yoga for over 18 years. She completed her 200 hr. teacher training in Hatha and Kundalini yoga at Karuna Yoga with Kelly Wood. She continues to train with Shiva Rea in her 500 hr. Vinyasa flow program. She began her practice in New York, then Colorado and for the past 14 years in Los Angeles. Yoga has easily become one of her greatest passions. Teaching gives her the chance to create a compassionate and loving space for others to grow, find their unique self expression and freedom to be their authentic stunning selves. Her certification is in Hatha, Vinyasa flow, Kundalini, Pre/post natal, and Kid's Yoga.
If Stephanie's nearly 20 years experience as a group fitness instructor have taught her anything it's that the most effective workout is the one you love. We suppose it's no wonder her evening classes are a sell- out nearly every week. With the latest music on her playlist and a class camaraderie that makes every workout feel "almost" like a party, Stephanie will leave you wondering how all that sweat wound up on the floor. Think you can't enjoy yourself while sprinting until you're breathless or climbing until your legs burn? Well, Stephanie thinks you're wrong and she's willing to bet that if today is your first cycling class at BAC–then tomorrow will be your next. Stephanie is a certified Spinning® instructor and manages the group cycling program at BAC. You'll also find her in our main studio where she teaches Pilates Sculpt.
A longtime, loyal BAC member, Susie is an experienced dance instructor and veteran yogi. She teaches a careful, deliberate, blissful yoga practice with her special brand of care and consideration.
Terry Stanley is a veteran group fitness instructor at Burbank Athletic Club who teaches Power Pilates and PILOXING™, a fast-paced fusion of boxing and Pilates that’s become one of the hottest fitness trends across the country. As a trained PILOXING™ instructor, she was one of the first women in the U.S. to be certified by PILOXING™ founder Viveca Jensen, trainer to the stars. In addition to being a staff instructor, she coordinates the BAC yoga and Pilates program.
Tori might be new to our instructor roster, but she’s no stranger to BAC. A long-time member and fitness enthusiast, Tori brings more than four years teaching experience with her as she joins our team at BAC. Whether it’s your first cycling class, or your five- hundred-and-first, Tori’s seemingly endless enthusiasm for indoor cycling is contagious. Set to today’s hottest tunes, Tori’s class is a high-energy sweat-fest that has already earned her great reviews.
You’ll find Traci’s name all over the weekly schedule at BAC, and for good reason–she’s built a loyal following during her five-year tenure at our club. While many say it’s her passion and energy that motivate them, others love her grueling routine of endurance, climbs, sprints, and isolations. Just when you think you’re giving it your all, Traci hops off the bike and increases your tension. Traci relies on a killer play list of today’s hottest pop, hip-hop, dance and alternative music to help motivate the class through her rigorous workout.
